BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 30. The exports of non-oil products abroad from Iran via the country's Khuzestan province increased during nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through December 20, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through December 21, 2023), controller of customs in the province Behrouz Gharabeigi told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, this figure grew by 43 percent in value terms and 22 percent in weight terms.
He said that for those nine months, the volume of export through the above province amounted to 18.2 million tons, with a total value of $6 billion.
Gharabeigi added that during this period, totally 12.3 million tons of products worth $6.46 million were exported abroad via the province customs, increasing by four percent in value and eight percent in weight year on year.
During nine months of the current year, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to 116 million tons worth $43.1 billion, increasing by 18 percent in value and 13.8 percent in weight year on year.
Meanwhile, the country's imports of non-oil products amounted to 27.9 million tons worth $50.9 billion, experiencing a valuation uptick of five percent while concurrently witnessing a decrement of 3.16 percent in volumetric weight.
