The Cambodian police have identified two persons suspected of planting explosive devices near the Ministry of National Defense and TV3 headquarters, government spokesman said Sunday.

The police are investigating more details of the case, said Khieu Kanharith, who is also the information minister, Xinhua reported.

They committed acts of terrorism, which had affected the social order and security, Kanharith added, without giving more information about the suspects.

Police on Friday found the cans containing explosive substances at two locations in the public garden before the ministry and another one on the sidewalk beside TV3 in downtown Phnom Penh.

Mine clearance group immediately detonated them, without causing any damage and casualty.
