Blast in Afghanistan kills 9, injures 30 policemen

A blast in Lashgarah in Gilmand, Afghanistan killed 9 and injured 30 policemen, the Afghan Presidential Administration said in a press release. The blast also killed two civilians.

The blast took place near a police department.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai said while commenting on the blast that the attack shows that the government's opponents fear law enforcement agencies will strengthen in the country.
