BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 12. The influx of passengers at Türkiye’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport in November 2024 rose by 12 percent compared to the same month last year, reaching over 37.9 million passengers, the country’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure said, Trend reports.

According to the Ministry, in November 2024, the airport's passenger turnover on domestic flights increased by 12 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 17.9 million people, and on international flights, it increased by 13.1 percent and amounted to 19.9 million people.

The airport's cargo traffic in November 2024 was 420,924 tons, an increase of 12 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

Furthermore, in November 2024, the airport's cargo traffic on domestic flights increased 6 percent over the same period in 2023 to 128, 543 tons, and cargo traffic on international flights increased 15.5 percent over the same period to 292, 381 tons.

The information indicates that the number of flights from the airport in November 2024 increased by 6 percent compared to November 2023 and amounted to 220,878.

Meanwhile, the number of flights performed for domestic flights increased by 3 percent to 101,458, and for international flights, it increased by 8.6 percent to 119,420.

The passenger traffic in all airports in Türkiye in November this year amounted to 214.4 million people, and cargo turnover was 4.5 million tons.

To note, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye in 2023 was 117.9 million people, and cargo traffic was 2.4 million tons.
