Babyeva/ Several parties of Azerbaijan expressed their wish to become the members of the Center for the Democratic Elections (CDE) - uniting nine opposition parties and have appealed CDE in this regard, Ahmad Oruj, the chairman of Azadlig party represented in the Center said to Trend on 28 February.
Over 18 parties of Azerbaijan (eight parties which are included in the bloc, that is Our Azerbaijan, Classic Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Social Democrat Party, Civil Solidarity Party, Great Establishment, Azadlig, National Democrats, Adalat (Justice), Umid (Hope) and Way of Azerbaijan political movement and others) signed an agreement on cooperation.
On 30 Jan, 9 parties- Classic Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Azadlig, National Democrats, Open Society, Great Azerbaijan, Popular Front Party of Unified Azerbaijan, Takamul (Evolution), Great Establishment and Green Party decided to establish a center for the democratic elections.
According to Oruj, the official improvements in the regulations of the CDE were postponed due to the discussion of the appeals by these parties.
"The regulations of the Center will be officially approved next week," Oruj said.
