Georgia's population is reduced by 0.33 percent annually, the National Council said.
According to the Council, the population reduced by 345.144 people, or 7 percent from 2002 to 2009. Georgia takes the 221-st place among 233 countries of the world. According to some experts, if this trend remains, ethnic Georgians will represent one of minorities in Georgia by 2050.
The National Council proposes a program for large families. According to it, large families will be provided with aid from the local budget. Families withour sufficient income having three or more children will get a full package of health insurance, which provides free medicine, doctor, childbirth, hospitalization.
