Azadlig Party Leader Ahmed Oruj was elected the Union for Democracy Chairman for one year at the Union's Chairmen Council today, the Union reported.
Based on the Council's decision, National Salvation Party Leader Vugar Beyturan will head the Union in 2012.
The Union for Democracy was established in 2007. It included the National Salvation Party, Liberty and Free Azerbaijan. The union was an advisory body for political forces.
