Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 February / corr. Trend J. Babayeva/ The serious changes will be made to the bill on education during the first reading in the Azerbaijani parliament in connection with the transition to the Bologna system. Misir Mardanov, the minister of education of Azerbaijan said on 23 February during the round table on integration of higher education of Azerbaijan to the higher education of Europe, held by Democratic Reforms Party.
The Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and subordinate to it higher schools are instructed to develop the Government Program on the Reforms in the Higher Education System of the Azerbaijan Republic for 2008-2012 and to submit it to the Cabinet of Ministers by 30 March 2008.
According to Minister, World Bank is prepared to provide grant to the Azerbaijani government to develop the Government Program on the Reforms in the Higher Education System of the Azerbaijan Republic for 2008-2012.
