The collections of Azerbaijan’s Ata Sigorta insurance company in 2021 decreased, the Azerbaijan Insurers Association told Trend.
According to the association, this figure amounted to 13.8 million manat ($8.1 million), down by 1.9 million manat ($1.12 million), or 13.77 percent, on annual basis.
At the same time, last year Ata Sigorta payments increased by 100,000 manat ($58,820), or 1.2 percent, compared to 2020, standing at 8.6 million manat ($5 million).
The share of Ata Sigorta in the insurance collections in the Azerbaijani market in 2021 equaled 1.4 percent, and the share of payments - 1.8 percent.
In 2021, the total collections of Azerbaijani insurance companies amounted to 843.8 million manat or $496.3 million (an increase of 15.8 percent over the year), and total payments - 458.7 million manat or $269.8 million (a decrease of 1.4 percent).
