ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 10. QazaqGaz is carrying out the Samruk-Kazyna investment project ahead of schedule, which includes the construction of the Taldykorgan-Usharal gas pipeline, in order to gasify about 66 settlements in Kazakhstan's Zhetysu region by 2026, Trend reports via the press service of Samruk-Kazyna.

"The total length of the pipeline will be 302.4 kilometers. The project also includes the construction of six gas pipeline branches and six automatic gas distribution stations," said Samruk-Kazyna.

It was also emphasized that the commissioning of the new main gas pipeline will enhance the reliability of gas supply in the Zhetysu region. It is expected that the level of gasification in the region will reach 90 percent after the completion of the project in 2026.

To note, as of today, 302 kilometers of pipe have been delivered (99.9 percent), 203 kilometers of pipe have been welded (67 percent), 155 kilometers of trenches have been developed (51 percent), and 133.2 kilometers of pipe have been laid in the trenches (44 percent).
