ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 17. Based on 2024
results, Kazakh content in Tengizchevroil's (TCO – 20 percent owned
by KazMunayGas) procurement of goods, works, and services accounted
for 69 percent, Trend reports via KazMunayGas.
The list of contracts concluded with domestic producers encompasses
a diverse spectrum of commodities and services, ranging from the
provision of maintenance materials to the fabrication of fittings,
flanges, seals, and fasteners.
To note, throughout its extensive operational tenure exceeding 32
years in Kazakhstan, TCO has achieved a cumulative procurement
volume from indigenous suppliers amounting to $50.5 billion.
Tengizchevroil is a joint venture engaged in the development,
extraction, and sale of oil and related products in Kazakhstan. It
is also the largest oil-producing company in Kazakhstan. The
company was established on April 6, 1993, in partnership with
Kazakhstan and the American company Chevron. The Tengiz field is
considered the largest "diamond" in Chevron's crown. The joint
venture agreement is set to last for 40 years.The Tengiz field is
located in a 2,500 square kilometer (1,600 square mile) project
license area, which includes the supergiant Tengiz field, a smaller
but significant Korolev field, and several exploratory
prospects.
