BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27. Insurance collections of insurance companies for railway transport vehicles in Azerbaijan amounted to 22,000 manat ($13,300) from January through April this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) shows that this figure went up by 16,000 manat ($9,700) or 42.1 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
No payments were recorded for railway transport vehicle insurance during the reporting period.
From January through April 2025, insurance companies in Azerbaijan collected a total of 588.5 million manat ($346 million) in premiums.
This represents an 8.4 percent growth compared to the same period in 2024.
At the same time, insurance payments made by companies amounted to 231.3 million manat ($136 million) in the first four months of 2025, marking a 10.4 percent year-on-year rise.
