ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 19. Mobile banking services in Turkmenistan are gradually expanding across the country, with 95,211 users registered nationwide as of July 1, 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBT) indicates that Ashgabat leads with 23,409 users, followed closely by Lebap with 23,736 and Mary with 21,810. Balkan region registered 16,661 users, while Dashoguz had 6,927 and Ahal 2,599. The city of Arkadag reported 69 users, reflecting its recent integration into the national financial ecosystem.
This distribution highlights the growing accessibility of digital banking platforms in both urban and regional areas, supporting Turkmenistan’s broader efforts to modernize its financial services.
