Azerbaijani insurance company "Ata Sıgorta" is predicting a 20 percent growth of its insurance premiums in 2013, chairman of the company's board Museyib Aliyev told Trend today.
According to the State Insurance Supervision Service of the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry, the company's debts in 2012 amounted to 10.64 million manat: payments of 2.61 million manat, 2.09 million manat and 0.51 million manat were made during the first quarter of 2013.
"We are developing a dynamic plan to maintain last year's growth rate of 20 percent," he said. "We are actively working on CASCO, voluntary property insurance and travel insurance amongst other things."
He added that some 40 percent of what the company collected is from compulsory insurance and 60 percent is from voluntary.
"This year, this ratio will be maintained, but the share of voluntary kinds in the company's portfolio will be increased in the future," Aliyev said.
"Ata Sıgorta", a member of Ata Holding, has been in the insurance market since 2004. It sells 22 types of voluntary and four types of compulsory insurance.
"AtaSıgorta" is the founder and a member of the Compulsory Insurance Bureau. The company has four branches and four representative offices.
