Uzbek bank registers additional issue of common shares

The joint-stock commercial bank Uzpromstroybank, the third biggest financial and credit institution of Uzbekistan, registered an additional issue of shares with an aggregate nominal value of more than 155 billion soums, said head of the bank’s Securities Department, Ugugbek Gaziev.

In particular, the Center for Coordination and Development of Securities registered 25 issues – 8.158 billion common shares at a nominal value of 19 soums per share.

On December 22, common shares were traded at a price of 16.8 soums per share on secondary exchange trading platforms and their value fell by 19 percent as compared to the auction held on December 13.

The joint-stock commercial bank Uzpromstroybank was established in 1992. As of Oct. 1, the bank’s authorized capital totaled 878.9 billion soums.
