The volume of collected premiums in the field of insurance of civil liability of tour operators and travel agents of Kazakhstan in January-April 2018 amounted to 40 billion tenge in January-April, which is 15.4 percent less, compared to the same period of 2017, Kazakh media outlets reported.
The share of civil liability premiums of tour operators from all premiums for compulsory insurance decreased from 0.2 percent to 0.1 percent in the mentioned period.
The volume of payments of civil liability premiums decreased by 91.2 percent, from 18.9 million tenge to 1.7 million tenge. Their share of payments on compulsory insurance decreased 10 times in April 2018 year over year, from 0.2 percent to 0.02 percent.
The purpose of compulsory insurance of civil liability of tour operators and travel agents is to ensure the protection of property and other interests of tourists.
