On February 12, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev took part in the ceremony of laying foundation for the regional electric substation in Agdash, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
The Azerbaijani President was informed that a regional 220/110 kW electric substation with capacity of 2x125 MVA is planned to be constructed in the Kukel village of Agdash region within the reconstruction project of energy supply of Mingachevir-Absheron with financial support of ADB. A 15-hectare-land has been allotted for the construction of the substation. Construction work is expected to be completed within 15 months.
A substation with two 125 MVA transformers will be created within construction. A transmission line Mingachevir-Absheron with length of 251 km will be replaced.
The project will be implemented by the Azerbaijani company AZENCO and the French company Areva. Construction work was launched in early January. The territory was improved. The surrounding territory has been prepared. About 3,000 trees were planted. The road leading to the object has been asphalted.
