BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. Azerbaijan's solar power plants have really hit the ground running, cranking out a whopping 520.2 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity in the first 11 months of 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistical Committee shows that this volume tumbled by an impressive 457.9 million kWh (8.4 times) compared to the same period in 2023.
To note, from January through November this year, nearly 24.36 billion kWh of electricity was produced in Azerbaijan, which is 572.1 million kWh (2.3 percent) less than in the first 11 months of last year.
Meanwhile, goods and services worth 2.79 billion manat ($1.64 billion) in the sector of electricity, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply were produced and provided in Azerbaijan.
