BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 16. NovaWind Kyrgyzstan company is planning to construct wind power stations in the Batken and Issyk-Kul regions of Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports.
A long-term cooperation agreement between the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan company, and NovaWind Kyrgyzstan was signed during the 10th Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference in Jalal-Abad.
A preliminary agreement has been reached for a 100 MW wind power station in the Leylek district of Batken region, outlining the key terms of the cooperation for electricity supply. The parties intend to finalize the main agreement.
A main agreement has also been signed for a 100 MW wind power station in the Tong district of Issyk-Kul region, with specified conditions for electricity supply in compliance with the norms of Kyrgyzstan's legislation on renewable energy sources.
According to this agreement, the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan commits to purchase all the electricity generated by these facilities for 25 years after the start of commercial operation.
The National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan is an energy company responsible for transporting and distributing electric power generated by power stations throughout the country.
