BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 26. The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has advised Kyrgyz citizens working in taxi and delivery services in Russia to exercise caution amid threats of potential terrorist attacks by international terrorist organizations, Trend reports.
Kyrgyz diaspora representative in Russia, Kubanychbek Osmonbekov, shared this warning in a Facebook post.
"According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, terrorists might use delivery services to transport explosive devices and activate them along with the courier in crowded places. Taxi drivers and couriers should be particularly vigilant regarding the packages they are asked to deliver. It's crucial to pay attention to who sent the package, what it contains, and where it is supposed to go," Osmonbekov said.
Following the terrorist attack at the Crocus Hall in Russia, there have been calls to tighten migration policies. A draft law has been submitted to the State Duma, proposing to prohibit labor migrants from working in medical, pharmaceutical, and educational sectors, including both school and preschool education. The bill also suggests restrictions on foreign couriers if their monthly salary exceeds 100,000-120,000 rubles (approximately $1,000-$1,300).
