BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 9. Kyrgyzstan's GDP amounted to 1.225 trillion soms ($14.1 billion) in the period from January through November 2024, Chairman of the Cabinet of the Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said, Trend reports.
He presented the results of the country’s socio-economic development during a meeting at the President’s Administration.
Japarov noted that the growth rate for this period was 9 percent, compared to 4.4 percent in the same months of 2023. Excluding the operations of the Kumtor mine, the GDP stands at 1.159 trillion soms ($13.3 billion), with a growth rate of 10.3 percent.
The Cabinet of the Ministers' Chairman attributed the steady economic growth to significant expansions in industrial and agricultural production, as well as increased exports and investments.
“Our primary task today is to strengthen the contribution of the real economy sector, continue attracting foreign investments, and ensure their successful integration into strategically important industries. We are confident that 2025 will be an even more successful phase in the implementation of our ambitious goals. Kyrgyzstan is moving forward, confidently overcoming challenges and creating conditions for sustainable and inclusive economic growth,” Japarov said.
Kyrgyzstan's GDP surpassed 1.2 trillion soms ($13.7 billion) in 2023, with a year-on-year growth rate of 6.2 percent.
