BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 8. Kyrgyzstan introduced 33 new digital online services in 2024, Trend reports via the Ministry of Digital Development.
The Tunduk app, a government services portal, expanded its services, making 171 government services available through the app.
Additionally, over the course of the year, the portal processed 16 million requests. This digital transformation has allowed Kyrgyz citizens to save 17.6 million hours of personal time and 1.3 billion soms ($14.9 million), which would otherwise have been spent on transportation, waiting in lines, and dealing with paperwork.
Last year, Kyrgyz citizens gained the ability to remotely update their ID cards, register their residence, and obtain various certificates in digital form.
Moreover, the Minister of Digital Development, Nuria Kutnaeva, highlighted that in 2024, a decision was made to integrate several information systems with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Development to monitor infants.
When a child is born, the information is immediately entered into the Ministry of Health's database and then transferred to the civil registry system. If the parents do not come within 60 days, the information is automatically forwarded to the Ministry of Social Development's system.
