Iran's Tehran Oil Refining Company to increase gasoline production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. The Tehran Oil Refining Company's gasoline production will increase by 1.5 million liters per day starting from June 22, 2025, the company's CEO Mohsen Iranzad told reporters, Trend reports.

He mentioned that due to the increase in gasoline production, work on the company's CCR plant is 86 percent complete.

Iranzad also said that as a result, all regular gasoline produced by the company will meet the Euro 4 standard.

According to the CEO, studies show that electricity will replace gasoline within the next 20 years, which is why the company is taking steps toward producing more valuable products.

"With this goal in mind, the company is looking to acquire shares in solar panel production. Therefore, in the near future, the company will produce electrical equipment and batteries," he added.

Tehran Oil Refining Company was established in 1967. This company has the potential to refine 250,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Currently, the company produces daily white oil, diesel, vacuum fuel, solvents, and other products in addition to gasoline. The company's current capital is 275 trillion rials (about $6.55 billion). Saderat Bank, Iran Investment Company, and Tehran Investment Company are the major shareholders of Tehran Oil Company.
