BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. A total of 650 trillion rials (about $1.46 billion) was invested in establishing enterprises in Hormozgan Province located in southern Iran during the six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024), the chairperson of the Organization of Industries, Mines, and Trade Organization of Iran's Hormozgan Province, Khalil Ghasemi, told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, 306 industrial enterprises have been issued licenses to operate in Hormozgan Province for six months
Ghasemi added that 6,318 people were employed with the commissioning of enterprises. The enterprises were mainly commissioned in Bandar Abbas, Bandar Lengeh, Bestek, Minab, Hajiabad and Jask districts.
The official noted that the enterprises mainly operate in the production of tires, rubber, petroleum products, and foodstuffs.
To note, more than 1,000 production enterprises are currently operating in Iran's Hormozgan province. Over 37,800 people are employed in these enterprises.
