BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. The non-oil products from Hamadan Province, located in western Iran, were mainly exported to Iraq during the six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024), Director General of Iran's Hamadan Province Customs Administration Javad Mohammadi told reporters, Trend reports.
He claimed that Iraq received 82 percent of the value of Hamadan province's non-oil exports.
Mohammadi added that Hamadan exported non-oil products worth $25.8 million over the course of six months. The non-oil products were mainly glass bottles, cement, ferrosilicon, and so on.
According to the official, the province also exports non-oil products to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Türkiye, and Russia.
He noted that Hamadan province imported 4,830 tons of non-oil products worth $14.5 million during the six months. The main imports were polyester yarns, rubber materials, and dyes. Georgia, China, the UAE, and Türkiye were the main importers of the products.
Mohammadi added that during the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), Hamadan province exported non-oil products worth $50.3 million to 18 countries.
Meanwhile, Iran exported 70 million tons of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion over the course of six months of the year. Compared to the same period last year, the export of products increased by 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight.
To note, Iran imported non-oil products worth $32.6 billion during the mentioned period.
