BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 6. The production of gasoline by Iranian refineries has increased by 8.5 million liters per day for the last 76 days (from August 22 through November 5), the statement of Iran's Oil Ministry said, Trend reports.
According to the information, during the mentioned period gasoline production in Iranian Gulf Star Oil Refinery Company increased by four million liters to 44 million liters per day, in Tehran Oil Refinery Company by two million liters to 9 million liters per day, in Isfahan Oil Refinery Company by two million liters to 14 million liters per day, and in Tabriz Oil Refinery Company by 500,000 liters to four million liters per day.
Meanwhile, Iran aims to increase the production of gasoline and diesel fuel in the country by 30 million liters per day by 2029.
Furthermore, reports indicate that Iran consumes twice as much energy as the global average. Thus, Iran consumes more than twice as much energy as other countries to produce one unit of economic growth. However, the Ministry of Petroleum is trying to continuously ensure energy supply to various areas despite the sharp increase in consumption.
To note, Iran's ten refineries refine 2,286,000 barrels of crude oil and gas condensate every day. The average daily output in Iran is 115 million liters of gasoline and 112 million liters of diesel fuel.
