( BBC ) - A young woman has killed two female students in a classroom in the US state of Louisiana before turning the gun on herself, police say.
The three women were found dead in a classroom at Louisiana Technical College in Baton Rouge, by police responding to reports of gunfire.
The two students were apparently killed in their seats on Friday morning, said Baton Rouge Police Sergeant Don Kelly.
It was not immediately clear whether the killer was herself a student.
Police entered the campus building within minutes of receiving an emergency call reporting gunfire at around 0830 (1430 GMT).
"There was mass pandemonium, people running," said Sgt Kelly.
"One officer - the first into the classroom - told me he could still smell gunpowder."
No other students were involved in the incident or were in any danger, he added.
Louisiana Technical College offers a range of courses, from childhood education and practical nursing to welding.
