It will be impossible to reach peace with Israel until Hamas is involved in peace talks with Israel. Arab states should seek ways to involve Hamas to talks, Syrian President Bashar Asad said.
"The key reason for war in Gaza was Israel's striving to occupy Gaza, but not to stop rocket fires," Asad said in the emergency meeting of Arab countries in Doha.
He said Hamas resistance is justified as fight for Palestine's independence as Israel rejects peace talks.
"Israel's aim is the aggression while Arab world seeks peace. Hamas resists Israel through war as Israel can not understand in any other way," Asad said.
