Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu reacted harshly against Baghdad administration. Criticizing the understanding that operations by the Turkish Armed Forces are a violation of Iraqi sovereignty, Davutoglu said Iraq has to finish terrorism on its soil or Turkey will have to conduct operations where necessary, TRT reported.

"There is nothing to be upset about that. What do we have to do other than intervene in this problem? It is not possible to sit and watch," he said.

Speaking to a private TV channel, Davutoglu answered questions regarding the agenda and reminded international support for Turkey's cross-border operations. Davutoglu said Turkey won't sit idle against terrorism. "The same preference is valid for the regional government and for the central Iraqi government too. If Qandil, Hakurk and Zap are all a part of their territories, then they should come and clean terrorist organization on these territories. This was same for the Americans. We told them the same during their occupation. If you say you cannot control, then we have the right to conduct operations towards the threats against us. There should be no question of being an intervention in anyone's rights or sovereignty," he said.

Ahmet Davutoglu also reacted against the people who are trying to correlate Libyan situation to terrorist problem in Turkey. "This is an insult to Turkey. Let me be clear. Turkey, which has a deep rooted democracy and which is among world's top economies, cannot be compared with Libya and Syria. We might have some problems but we are governed with democracy."

Davutoglu was asked about developments in Libya and Syria as well. He said Turkey is always with the Syrian people. Regarding Libya davutoğlu said the mistakes made in Iraq must not be repeated and National Transitional Council should establish unity and sustainability of the government.
