Russia, Moscow, 23 June / Trend corr R. Agayev/ The ongoing Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be discussed during the Russia-European Union summit to take place from 26 to 27 June.

"The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, one of unsettled conflicts in CIS, will be discussed during the upcoming Russia-EU summit to take place in Khanty-Mansiysk," Russian permanent representative at EU Vladimir Chizhov said 23 June during a video press conference Moscow-Brussels 'Urgent Issues of Relations between Russian Federation and European Union on the Threshold of Russia-EU Summit in Khanty-Mansiysk on 26-27 June'.

Chizhov said EU does not hide its striving to take a more active part in settlement of the 'frozen' conflicts in the Post-Soviet area. According to him, Russia sees its EU partners having the same wish and is ready to discuss the issue in case of avoiding breaking of current formats of negotiations.

"As to Nagorno-Karabakh, there is the OSCE Minsk Group, there are three co-chairs in which France represents the EU as well. There are adequate formats of settlement of Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-South Ossetian conflicts. So, we will discuss the issue in this context," Chizhov said.
