ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 10. The restoration schedule indicates that the Kropotkinskaya pumping station (PS) will be back in operation by the end of May 2025, Trend reports citing the press service of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).

The company’s press service shared this update, stating that on April 10, 2025, CPC's General Director, Nikolay Gorban, visited the "Kropotkinskaya" PS to oversee the progress of the recovery efforts.

"After inspecting the facilities, a meeting was held with contractor representatives and the station's operational staff to clarify the details of the repair work, including the replacement of foreign equipment with domestic alternatives, and to ensure the availability of necessary equipment and spare parts for restoring the functionality of all sub-systems," the company stated.

On February 17, 2025, the "Kropotkinskaya" PS, located in the Kavkazsky district of Krasnodar region of Russia, was attacked by multiple UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) loaded with explosives and metal shrapnel. The largest CPC station in Russia was severely damaged and subsequently taken out of service.

Currently, oil transportation via the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is proceeding through a bypass route, avoiding the shutdown station.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest energy projects in the CIS region, with the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline stretching 1,511 km. This pipeline carries more than two-thirds of Kazakhstan’s export oil, as well as raw materials from Russian fields, including those in the Caspian region. The CPC marine terminal is equipped with three offshore mooring units (OMUs) that enable safe tanker loading far from the shore.
