ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 24. The First Deputy
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, met
with the Chairman of the Board of the multinational company Yutong,
Wang Wentao, Trend
reports.
In the course of the negotiations, the current results of the joint
project for the production of bus equipment at the QazTehna
factory, located in the industrial zone of the city of Saran in the
Karaganda region, were discussed.
During the meeting, Wang Wentao expressed his gratitude to the Government of Kazakhstan for its comprehensive support of the project being implemented in partnership with Yutong, the world's largest bus manufacturer.
“We highly appreciate the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the development of machine engineering and economic diversification, and we are ready to actively participate in these processes,” he emphasized.
The Chairman of the Board also noted that Kazakhstan is seen by the company as a key strategic market in Central Asia. In this regard, Yutong intends to further increase cooperation with the Kazakh side by increasing investment volumes, expanding technology transfer, and deepening production localization.
Currently, the production portfolio of the QazTehna factory includes a wide range of products, including urban, intercity, tourist, and specialized Yutong buses. The plant has created more than 1,000 jobs for highly qualified specialists. Since the plant's launch in 2021, more than 4,000 units of bus equipment have been produced.
The parties confirmed their intention to further expand a mutually beneficial partnership and strengthen the industrial potential of the country.
In 2025, Kazakhstan plans to produce more than 1,500 buses, reflecting the stable growth and sustainability of the project being implemented.
