Iranian exports in non-oil sector to be raised to $40 billion

Export of non-oil sector is increasing in Iran and by the end of the year (the year in the country starts on March 21), the exports in the service sector is expected to reach $40 billion, deputy chairman of Iran's Trade Development Organization Kyumars Fatulla Kirmanshahi told IRNA news agency.
"Exports in the service sector cover 11 spheres, including technical and engineering services, tourism, technology, communications, cargo and passenger traffic," said Kirmanshahi.

He said within 11 months of this year, the export of non-oil sector, given the gas condensate, amounted to $29 billion, but without gas condensate - $24 billion.
"During the 11 months of the year, Iran has imported products worth $58 billion. Of these, $6 billion fell on gold, $2.5 billion - gasoline," said Kirmanshahi.

The Iranian working group on export confirmed a national strategy to develop non-oil sector at a meeting held on March 1. The development strategy has been prepared in accordance with the long-term development program of Iran by 2025, the requirements of article 44 of the Constitution on privatization, as well as the five-year development program. As part of the new strategy, Iran is planning to undertake the following tasks: the equation of exports and imports, increasing the share of private sector in economic projects, increasing the share of exports in production, increasing Iran's role in the energy transit, increasing export capacity, ensuring the independent activities of insurance, banking enterprises with the support of the region countries.
