The Georgian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has changed the rules of wood preparation, transportation and processing.
In particular, the electronic registration of sawmill workshops in a single database of the Agency of Natural Resources, regardless of whether they operate or not becomes mandatory from February 20, 2013.
The registration is available at: www.portal.anr.ge. However, sawmills that have been already registered, must re-register.
According to the new rules it will be required to submit a document on wood processing and special labelling of round wood from February 25, 2013.
It is forbidden to transport unmarked wood and its processing in sawmill workshops from February 25.
