BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Azerbaijan's wind power plants (WPPs) produced over 2.6 million kWh of electricity in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this represents a decrease of 3.1 million kWh, or 54.4 percent, compared to last year.
Moreover, the production of electricity, gas, and steam, along with distribution and supply services in the country, reached a value of 342.9 million manat ($201.7 million) in January 2025.
Meanwhile, the volume of products produced in the water supply, waste treatment, and processing sector amounted to 45.8 million manat ($26.9 million) during the same period.
