BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. Azerbaijan sent a whopping 130,900 tons of crude oil and products from bituminous rocks, raking in $72.1 million from Indonesia during the first five months of 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee
shows that this metric experienced an escalation of $19.6 million,
translating to a 37.3 percent appreciation in value, alongside an
increase of 44,200 tons, equating to a 51 percent surge in volume,
relative to the corresponding timeframe in 2024.
In this timeframe, Indonesia positioned itself as the 12th
principal destination for Azerbaijan's crude oil exports.
It is noteworthy that from January to May of the current fiscal
year, Azerbaijan has successfully executed the export of 10.4
million metric tons of crude oil and associated petroleum
derivatives, generating a substantial revenue of $5.6 billion
across a diverse portfolio of 17 international markets. In
juxtaposition to the corresponding timeframe in 2024, the valuation
experienced a contraction of 9.8 percent, equating to $615.9
million, whereas the throughput exhibited an uptick of 493,400
tons, representing a five percent escalation.
