Iran issues several loans to industrial enterprises in Semnan Province

As many as 133 industrial enterprises in the Semnan Province (northern Iran) were provided with loans in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Chairman for Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of Semnan Province, Ali Teshnedel said, Trend reports citing the organization.

He made the remark in a meeting related to research the problems of industrial enterprises in the province.

The chairman said that about 143 billion rials (about $3.4 million) worth of loans were issued to four industrial enterprises in Iran as fixed capital over the last Iranian year.

Teshnedel added that moreover, 16 trillion rials (about $380 million) worth of loans were issued to 129 industrial enterprises as working capital.

“A total of 265 industrial enterprises applied to receive loans last Iranian year. The names of 191 companies have been announced to banks for issuance of loans worth about 21 trillion rials (about $500 million),” he noted.

According to him, this shows that about 77 percent of the loans were issued to industrial enterprises during the last Iranian year.

Teshnedel emphasized that during the meeting, an agreement was reached to provide loans worth 20 billion rials (about $476,000) to two industrial enterprises in the province, and the problems of 10 industrial and mining enterprises were researched.
