ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 22. Turkmenistan had 67,827 people registered for mobile banking services by the beginning of November 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Turkmen central bank, the number of service users in the stipulated time is 16 percent higher than in the same month last year (58,449 users).
The regions of Mary (17,637 users) and Lebap (17,536 users), as well as the city of Ashgabat, have the highest concentration of registered users for this service, with 13,968 people.
Halkbank Joint-Stock Commercial Bank has the largest number of users in the reporting period - 16,491 registered users. Turkmenistan State Commercial Bank - 16,189 users and Dayhanbank State Commercial Bank - 13,975 users follow this indicator.
Turkmenistan's financial sector is experiencing continuous growth, with a notable focus on the integration of mobile applications for diverse service and product payments. The volume of transactions is on the rise, and there is an expansion of payment options facilitated through bank payment terminals.
