BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 5. Mobile banking stands crucial for competition between Azerbaijani banks, CEO and founder of Russian Markswebb consultancy Alexey Skobelev said during the announcement of the ‘Mobile Banking Rank Azerbaijan 2024’ results in Baku today, Trend reports.

As per his words, the population of Azerbaijan is putting more and more faith in digital purchases with each passing year.

"The rapid growth of bank cards in Azerbaijan is becoming increasingly prominent. Nevertheless, the market is far from being saturated. With a staggering 1.7 cards per resident, the number surpasses that of Uzbekistan. The growth is showing no signs of slowing down, but rather, it is gaining momentum, suggesting a growing trust in non-cash transactions among the population.

In the next few years, this will boost competition between banks for the status of the main card. In this context, mobile banking is becoming increasingly important, and banks will pay special attention to it,” he emphasized.

To note, ‘Mobile Banking Rank Azerbaijan 2024’ is user experience research, that contains the completeness and convenience of tasks solved in mobile banks for individuals. The researchers focus on debit card management. The results will allow an evaluation of the development vector, key features, and trends of mobile banking in Azerbaijan, as well as practices and solutions for high-level improvement of the customer experience, and the creation of a competitive advantage.

The key expertise of Markswebb is user and customer experience (UX/CX).
