BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 10. The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Iran increased by 1.8 times in 2022 compared to 2021, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, the value of the trade turnover between the two countries in the reporting period went up to $48 million from $26.8 million in 2021.
The exports from Kyrgyzstan to Iran made up $13.4 million, which is 14 times more than in 2021 ($959.800).
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Iran amounted to $34.5 million last year, increasing by 1.3 times compared to $25.8 million in 2021.
Meanwhile, the value of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $11.8 billion from January through December 2022, increasing by 41 percent over the same period of 2021 ($8.3 billion).
Kyrgyzstan's exports reached $2.1 billion in 2022, facing a decrease of 21 percent compared to 2021 ($2.7 billion). The value of imports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $9.6 billion last year, which is an increase of 72 percent over $5.5 billion in 2021.
