BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 22. A new brick factory has been launched in the village of Karool, Uzgen district of Kyrgyzstan’s Osh region, Trend reports via the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
The plant was built with an investment of $4 million by Kyrgyzstan's Iman Building LLC and spans an area of 5 hectares. It has the capacity to produce around 120,000 high-quality bricks per day and has created jobs for local residents.
The facility is part of a broader effort to boost domestic construction material production and is one of 128 new enterprises scheduled to be launched across the country this year.
“We have increased the charter capital of the State Mortgage Company. Through it, many apartment buildings are under construction. Citizens are also investing in private homes, which is driving up demand for building materials. The launch of this brick factory will help address that need,” said Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the opening ceremony.
During his itinerary in Uzgen, Kasymaliev engaged in the
ceremonial relaunch of the Aychurek cinema, which has undergone a
comprehensive reconstruction process. The refurbishment initiative
was underpinned by a financial allocation of 38 million soms
($434,534) sourced from the municipal fiscal framework.
Moreover, a newly commissioned tri-level healthcare facility with a
capacity of 60 inpatient beds has been officially launched in the
locality of Myrza-Ake, situated within the Uzgen administrative
district. The capital infusion for the construction project
amounted to 132 million soms (equivalent to $1.5 million) sourced
from the state budget, complemented by a supplementary allocation
of 21 million soms earmarked for the procurement of cutting-edge
medical apparatus.
