BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. The Uzbek government allocated 300 billion soums ($27.2 million) to support agricultural producers,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
The funds will be directed to the Horticulture and Greenhouse Development Fund for subsequent issuance to producers in the form of soft loans through banks.
Loans will be allocated:
- to agricultural enterprises - for the supply of seeds, fertilizers, fuel, plant protection products for growing fruits, grapes, potatoes, vegetables, melons, herbs and medicinal plants, legumes and oilseeds
- to enterprises for processing, storage and export of products - to replenish the working capital necessary for the purchase of produced crops.
