TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 14. Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with the US reached $613.6 million from January through August 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency shows that this number increased by 64.8 percent compared to the same period last year ($372.3 million from January through August 2023).
The US ranked in the top ten in terms of trade turnover among Uzbekistan's largest trading partners for the period.
Uzbekistan's exports to the US totaled $210 million, which is 133 percent more than last year ($90.1 million from January through August 2023).
Uzbekistan's imports from the US totaled $403.5 million from January through August 2024. This figure is a significant increase of 42.9 percent over the same period last year ($282.2 million from January through August 2023).
To note, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $42.7 billion from January through August 2024. This indicator increased by 6.7 percent compared to the same period last year ($40 billion in January-August 2023).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's exports from January through August 2024 reached $17.3 billion, while imports reached $25.3 billion.
