BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. Iran's non-oil exports to Turkmenistan in the 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through February 18, 2025) increased by 28 percent in value and 14.3 percent in weight compared to the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from Iran's Customs Administration shows that Iran's non-oil exports to Turkmenistan during the reporting period reached a total value of $521 million, amounting to 1.42 million tons.
Concurrently, the valuation was positioned at $407 million for a
throughput of 1.24 million tons during the corresponding timeframe
of the preceding fiscal year.
The data elucidates that commodities encompassing agricultural and
food items, industrial merchandise, transformers, air conditioning
units, petrochemical derivatives, among others, were subjected to
exportation.
Furthermore, the bilateral trade dynamics between Iran and
Turkmenistan in the non-hydrocarbon sector have achieved a
remarkable turnover of $540 million in monetary terms and 1.44
million tons in volumetric weight. This represents a significant
uptick of 21.7 percent in fiscal value and 12.9 percent in physical
weight relative to the analogous timeframe of the previous fiscal
year.
Iran's Customs Administration data shows that the country's total exports of non-oil products amounted to 141 million tons worth $53.4 billion during 11 months. Compared to the same period last year, non-oil exports increased by 19 percent in value and 12.6 percent in weight.
