BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 24. The value of non-oil exports from Iran to Turkmenistan rose by 28.6 percent, and 14.4 percent in volume in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from Iran's Customs Administration (IRICA) indicates that the country exported 1.56 million tons of non-oil goods worth $572 million to Turkmenistan during the reporting period. In contrast, the previous year saw exports totaling around 1.36 million tons, valued at over $445 million.
The report notes that the exported items included agricultural and food products, industrial goods, transformers, air conditioning systems, petrochemical products, and more.
IRICA also reported that the total non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan during the same period reached 1.57 million tons, valued at $592 million, reflecting a 22.4 percent increase in value and a 13 percent increase in volume year-on-year.
Iran's Customs Administration also reported that, in total, Iran exported non-oil products worth $57.8 billion, reaching nearly 152 million tons, marking a 15.6 percent increase in value and a 10 percent rise in weight compared to the previous year.
