BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. Iran increased its non-oil exports to Uzbekistan in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2025), rising by 14.3 percent in value and 1.08 percent in weight compared to the same month of the previous year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) show Iran exported approximately 43,800 tons of non-oil goods worth nearly $29.9 million to Uzbekistan.
In contrast, exports in the same month last year stood at about 43,300 tons, valued at roughly $26.2 million.
IRICA’s report notes that the main exported goods included dairy products, petrochemicals, various types of pipes, glass containers, agricultural machinery, and other industrial items.
Overall trade turnover between Iran and Uzbekistan in the period reached around 46,500 tons, worth $33.1 million —an increase of 13.4 percent in value and 4.2 percent in volume year-on-year.
To note, the Iranian Customs Administration data shows that Iran exported 8.95 million tons of non-oil products worth $2.94 billion in the first month overall. This represents a decrease of eight percent in value and 8.3 percent in weight compared to the same month of last year.
