BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Iran exported 24.6 million tons of non-oil goods during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2025), with total exports valued at $8.24 billion, said Foroud Asgari, Iran's Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and Director of the Customs Administration, Trend reports.
Speaking to local media, Asgari stated that compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024), the value of non-oil exports slightly decreased by 0.11 percent, while the volume increased by 4.4 percent.
He noted that among Iran’s top exported commodities were liquid propane worth more than 600 million dollars, natural gas, liquid butane, bitumen, and methanol.
Asgari added that Iran’s leading non-oil exports during the period included liquid propane valued at $643 million, natural gas at $455 million, liquid butane at $452 million, bitumen at $419 million, and methanol at $388 million.
The official also noted that during the first two months of the Iranian calendar year, Iran exported goods worth $2.42 billion to China, $1.5 billion to Iraq, over $1 billion to the UAE, $673 million to Türkiye, $374 million to Afghanistan, $322 million to Pakistan, and $305 million to Oman.
Iran continues to focus on neighboring countries as the main markets for its non-oil exports,
