BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. A total of 136 km long controlled-access highways were commissioned in six provinces of Iran today, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Houshang Bazvand told reporters, Trend reports.
He said that 50 trillion rials (approximately $87.6 million) were spent on the commissioning of these highways.
Bazvand added that the highways were commissioned in the Markazi, Khuzestan, Yazd, Sistan and Baluchestan, Ilam and Kurdistan Provinces of Iran.
To note, a total of 940 trillion rials (approximately $1.65 billion), $119 million and 39 million euro worth of foreign and local investments were spent on the facilities commissioned in Iran today within the framework of the projects of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
