BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Azerbaijan exported 6,500 tons of cotton fiber in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that the revenue from these exports reached $9.3 million during the reporting period.
Cotton fiber exports decreased by over 594 tons, or 8.3 percent, in volume and by $1.3 million, or 12.3 percent, in value compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s cotton fiber exports were around 7,100 tons, valued at $10.6 million, in January 2024.
To note, the share of cotton fiber in total exports last month was 0.31 percent, with its share in non-oil exports standing at 3.78 percent.
