ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 2. During his working trip to the Zhambyl region, the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Aidarbek Saparov, reviewed the progress of the investment project for the construction of a meat processing plant by Alel Agro, Trend reports.
"The project involves creating a full production cycle - from poultry farming and feed production to deep meat processing. This approach ensures high production efficiency, transparency of processes, and quality control at all stages," said the Ministry of Agriculture's press service.
The ministry noted that the commissioning of the feed plant with a capacity of 20 tons per hour, poultry farms with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons, and a meat processing workshop with a capacity of 1,500 poultry per hour is nearing completion. The launch of the main production complex is scheduled for September 2025.
Aidarbek Saparov emphasized that the experience of Alel Agro
serves as a good example of the effective implementation of an
integrated model in poultry farming and agricultural product
processing:
"The Ministry will continue to support such initiatives aimed at
import substitution, developing export potential, and ensuring
sustainable development of rural areas," the minister
emphasized.
Meanwhile, once the plant reaches full capacity, it will produce up to 75,000 tons of poultry meat per year. Of this, 60 percent will be directed to the domestic market, and 40 percent will be exported. The total cost of the project is 15.6 billion tenge (approximately $29.64 million).
